If you love Bounty bars then you will absolutely love my Homemade Bounty Bars. I mean these things are so delicious and creamy that they will make you feel like you are eating the real thing. Three ingredients are all you need to make this coconut bars at home.
There is nothing better than coconut, condensed milk and chocolate together in one sweet treat. I love to have homemade candies on hand when we have family and friends visiting over the holidays. The main reason I like these Homemade Bounty Bars is that they are so simple.
First, you just need to combine sweetened condensed milk, shredded coconut and mix until well blended. If you try to shape the mixture, it should hold well, you can adjust the quantity of condensed milk or shredded coconut slightly to get the desired consistency. Shape into little bars and put them in the freezer to harden.
I like to give them about 30 minutes, so they are easy to coat with chocolate. Transfer chocolate covered coconut bars on a lined baking sheet. Refrigerate until chocolate has set and drizzle chocolate syrup onto each bar if you desired. If you are a chocolate coconut lover like me, you need to make this! These

Ingredients
2 ½ – 3 cups Shredded coconut, unsweetened
1(14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate chips
Chocolate syrup, optional
Directions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside
- In a medium bowl, mix sweetened condensed milk and shredded coconut to make a thick and sticky paste
- If you try to shape the mixture, it should hold well, you can adjust the quantity of condensed milk or shredded coconut slightly to get the desired consistency
- Using your hands, form some rectangles with the paste. Press firmly to make sure the rectangles will keep their shape. After 3 or 4 rectangles wash your hands and not dry them completely. That way the paste won’t stick to your hands. I made 12 shaped bars, but you can make smaller or larger bars, up your taste
- Arrange the coconut bars on a lined baking sheet and put in the freezer for about 30 minutes
- Melt chocolate chips in microwave by heating for 30 seconds then stirring and repeating process until it is melted and smooth
- Remove coconut bars from the freezer
- Using a fork, dip each shaped coconut bar into chocolate and roll it to cover completely
- Tap the fork on the edge of the bowl or place them on a rack to remove the extra chocolate
- Transfer chocolate covered bars on a lined baking sheet
- Refrigerate until chocolate has set
- Drizzle chocolate syrup onto each bar if you desired
Notes
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, you can also keep them in the fridge but they will dry and harden a bit. I don’t recommend it.
